Residency training | Admission

  • Admission: (Section 4 of the regulations governing the post-graduate training process)

4.1. General requirements for applicants:

4.1.1. Applicants to the residency training must have a bachelor’s degree.

4.1.2. Applicants to the subspecialty training must have a diploma, a bachelor’s degree, and a residency diploma.

4.1.3. Applicants to the advanced training must have a professional diploma and a license in their field.

4.1.4. Must be licensed to practice medicine, nursing, pharmacology, midwifery, and rehabilitation.

4.1.5. Applicants must score a threshold of 70% or higher on the entrance exam.

4.1.6. If a foreign citizen wishes to apply, he/she will be entitled to study according to the agreement between the governments of the two countries and with MNUMS. Issues regarding the student will be resolved according to the conditions stipulated in the agreement.

4.1.7. If the applicant has enrolled in a credit course that compensates for the content of the program, it must be verified with certification.

4.2. Admissions procedures: 

4.2.1 Admission will be arranged according to the relevant orders and dispositions. 

4.2.2 The admission process will be arranged in cooperation with constituent schools and professional departments. 

4.2.3 After the confirmation of the specialties, quota, and length of the residencies that are to be admitted in the postgraduate training, announcements will be made public at least 1 month prior to the entrance examination and will be submitted in writing to the health institutions of the provinces and the capital. 

4.2.4 Registration will be held online and candidates can only apply when the general requirements for applicants are met. 

4.2.5 Each registered applicant has the right to take the entrance examination. 

4.2.6 Admissions will be organized through competitive selection. 

4.2.7 The order of the entrance examination must be approved by the chief deputy director of the university and must include the content, method, and general requirements of the examination. 

4.2.8 Applicants who pass the examination threshold will be ranked and admitted according to the set quota.

4.3 Applicants who pass the selection process must submit the following materials:

4.3.1 Personal letter of statement for enrollment

4.3.2 Applicant’s resume (in a specific form) 

4.3.3 A copy of the personal identification card 

4.3.4 A copy of the undergraduate diploma, a professional license, and a permit to engage in professional activity (notarized)

4.3.5 3 copies of a 3×4 photograph

4.3.6 Statement of employment

4.3.7 Registration fee (payable via e-commerce with a Khan Bank card via the registration website http://mdi.mnums.edu.mn/)

  1. Registration fee must be paid
  2. Tuition fees must be paid (Payable via e-commerce with a Khan Bank card via the registration website http://mdi.mnums.edu.mn/ if the material and the exam are passed)

4.3.8 Process fee (payable via e-commerce with a Khan Bank card via the registration website http://mdi.mnums.edu.mn/)

4.3.9 Tuition fees must be paid (payable via e-commerce with a Khan Bank card via the registration website http://mdi.mnums.edu.mn/)

4.4 Applicants studying at the request of an organization must prepare the following additional materials. 

4.4.1 Official letter of statement from the organization requesting enrollment

4.4.2 Source of tuition fees (agreements with the official and contracting organizations) 

4.5 If the materials submitted by the applicant do not meet the requirements, and the online registration is filled in incorrectly, the examination materials will be considered invalid. In this case, the materials submitted by the next applicant on the list will be verified and accepted.

4.6 The registration fee will not be refunded in the case of failure to pass the entrance exam, incorrect filling of the online registration, or inadequate materials submitted by the applicant, where the fee has been paid but the examination is not attended without valid reasons.

4.7 The name, field of study, and length of training of passed applicants must be confirmed by the order of the Director of MNUMS.

  • The applicant will be considered a “student” by the order of the Director of MNUMS.
